History
Fir Balsam has been prized by the North American Indians for thousands of years for its deep, conifer aroma and was used for both ritual and medicinal purposes. It was sometimes consumed directly from the tree or as a tea for its Vitamin C content. It is believed to bring alertness to the mind and fight general fatigue. Fir Balsam has been found to have both analgesic and expectorant properties and has been used to help with muscular aches and pains, as well as coughs and colds. Very safe and helpful in the treatment of infants.
