The Orange originated in a region encompassing Southern China, Northeast India, and Myanmar. They can grow up to 5 metres tall and are one of the most cultivated fruit trees in the world. They prefer to grow in tropical and subtropical climates. This cold-pressed rind extraction is a very popular ingredient in perfumes, skincare and cleaning products. It is also used as a digestive aid and is helpful in restoring emotional balance.

Fresh, juicy and so very sweet. An aroma reminiscent of summer. Complex citrus with an expansive palette.

History
For thousands of years, the Orange has provided both food and medicine. A valuable medicinal herb, it was a favourite with Arabian physicians in the Middle Ages and in Chinese medicine. It was and still is, used extensively in perfumery. The oil is reported to stimulate digestion and relieve flatulence. Its calming properties have also been used to help reduce heart rate, encourage sleep and calm the mind.

Uses
Relaxation
Add 10 drops to a diffuser. To enhance, blend with Geranium, Lavender Sweet or Cedarwood Atlas. Repeat as required. At night, add 5 drops of Orange Sweet, 3 drops Lavender and 2 drops Cedarwood Atlas to enhance a good night sleep.

Emotional balance
Add 10 drops to a diffuser. Repeat as required.

Stress
Add 10 drops to a diffuser. Enhance by adding 3 drops of Bergamot and 2 drops of Sandalwood. Repeat as required.

Harmony in spaces
Add 10 drops to a diffuser. Enhance effects by blending 4 drops of Orange Sweet, 3 drops of Lemon and 3 drops of Cedarwood Atlas. Repeat as required.
Safety considerations
Add to 1/2 cup of milk prior to dispersing in the bath as contact with heat makes Orange Sweet more reactive with the skin. For sensitive skin, avoid use in the bath. Safe for use during pregnancy or around children when diffused. Safe to use with other medication when necessary. If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health specialist. Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water. Keep out of reach of children.
