How pure, certified organic essential oils can make workspaces healthier.
Well-being begins with feeling at ease. It includes breathing deeply and calmly. It's connected to feeling safe and responding to a harmonious environment.
People increasingly understand that an organic, natural environment is the best scenario for good health. We’re learning more and more about the innate healing of higher vibrational frequencies found in nature (the highest natural frequencies are found in essential oils) and the negative impact of toxic materials and substances.
Improve your working environment using natural health principles
There are three main areas where certified organic essential oils can contribute to the quality of your workspace:
1. Natural sanitation
Being clean is important, but chemically sterile environments aren't great at putting people at ease - think about dentists, hospitals, or even rental cars and motels. Step away from chemical products and create a natural and healthy environment, from the toys in a reception area to the bathroom surfaces, utilities, and the office space.
Tea Tree is a classic choice for germ hotspots like toilets and toys, but citrus oils also have powerful natural cleaning properties and are favourites for everyday hygiene, due to the them having such a positive, vitalising effect on people’s energy.
2. Air purification
One of the most significant advantages of certified organic essential oils as medicinal extracts arises from their volatile nature and tendency to release active molecules in vapour form.
The same anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that can sanitise surfaces and objects in cleaning solutions will quickly disperse, when warmed, into the surrounding air. In shared spaces where clients and staff interact, use a blend for diffusion to help minimise the spread of airborne germs.
Our certified organic Immune Care and Purify: Air Cleanser blends are perfect for killing airborne germs and supporting the immune system.
3. Ambient calm
Essential oils have been proven to help reduce anxiety and aid natural relaxation.
With some blending know-how, it is possible to add relaxing, harmonic qualities to a purifying blend.
Essential oils can help improve concentration and calmness in shared workspaces, and pure blends like Stress Less and Brain Power combine essential oils for greater synergy.
There are any number of essential oil combinations that you can make to suit your preferences as you build up your collection of pure organic essential oils.
Here are just a few of the certified organic essential oils we recommend for work:
Orange Sweet (Citrus aurantium) and Lemon (Citrus limonum) both bring a citrus lift to a blend. Orange Sweet has a calming, comforting aroma, while Lemon is fortifying and vital.
Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Australiana) adds a boost of refreshment and deep cleansing.
Lavender Sweet (Lavandula hybrida) is wonderfully calming and purifying - especially on negative energies.
Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is a versatile antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal.
Clove Bud (Eugenia caryophyllata) is a strong disinfectant, cleansing, and stimulating for the mind (it’s also very good for treating mould).
Blends to get you started:
Combine 4 drops Orange Sweet, 4 drops Lemon and 2 drops Eucalyptus.
Or 2 drops Clove and 8 drops Lavender.
Or simply, 5-10 drops Lavender (better for small children or sensitive people).
To make a non-toxic, organic cleaning solution:
Combine with 1 cup of warm water with 1 teaspoon unscented natural soap, 20 drops Lemon, 10 drops Tea Tree (or 5 drops Tea Tree with 5 drops Clove for bathroom mould).
Mix this up in a glass jar with a lid (preferably dark glass, or store in a dark place).
Use this blend to create a cleaning solution by adding 2 teaspoons per litre of water.
- Recycle a spray bottle to make an organic, anti-germ surface cleanser, or spray toys after a busy week.
- Or make up a bucket of hot, organic cleaning solution for soaking toys, cleaning floors, toilets, sinks etc.
The most important thing to learn is that you should only use pure, organic essential oils. These have been produced while maintaining the integrity of the original plant molecules - to be small (not heat expanded) and without impurities, for efficient and healthful interaction with the body’s systems.
