LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Whether or not you are a fan of Valentine’s Day, for me personally, any chance to celebrate love is a wonderful thing. It’s why we are all here right? And what better way to show you care than with therapeutic plant oils; nature’s perfect gift, because no-one can fail to use them without feeling truly cherished and nurtured.

Scent, of course, plays a major role in love and attraction, and our emotions can be hugely moved - albeit subconsciously - by the way a person smells (or at least, by the way our brains interpret their smell). Just as an unpleasant odour can turn us off, certain scents can be romantic elixirs…

To follow are a few choice oils that are especially Valentine’s Day friendly; aromas that are guaranteed to open the heart, indulge the senses, and (naturally) stir up the romance. I’ll begin with one of my favourites.

Heart Chakra Oil
The Sanskrit word for the fourth (heart) chakra is Anahata, which means ‘unhurt’. The name suggests that beneath the grievances of past experiences lies a pure and spiritual place where no hurt exists. Open, healthy energy in the heart chakra creates a flow of loving energy that permeates our life experience. And this exceptionally pure and natural formulation can help support us, on the deepest level, in our quest for peaceful and harmonious living, love, compassion and acceptance. Apply several drops of this body-ready blend in a clockwise direction around the heart area.

Absolute Romance
If you’re looking for the quintessential love potion here it is. Rose 3% in Jojoba
Rose essential oil has the highest frequency vibration of any natural source known to man and therapeutically it is uplifting, comforting, balancing and cleansing on all levels – mind, body, soul, and particularly on our heart-centered emotions. Because it takes the petals of some 10 thousand roses to produce around a teaspoon of essential oil, it is priced for a princess, but being highly concentrate its beautiful aromatic qualities can easily be translated into a blend that is more accessible to the rest of us. This very simple certified organic combination of Rose in Jojoba can be used as a daily perfume, around the chest for a heart chakra massage, or on pulse points to encourage restorative balance to senses and feelings. Sweet Rose
