Fever
What is it?
A fever (pyrexia) is when the body temperature temporarily rises to reach, or exceeds, 37.8°C (100°F) for an oral read and 37.2°C (99°F) for an armpit reading. It can be caused by a variety of conditions, most commonly as a result of the body responding to viral and bacterial infections.
Blend intention
To calm, cool and reduce fever in order to improve the comfort of the patient.
NOTE: Always have a thermometer ready, keep checking the temperature every 30 minutes until stable.
