Lavender Sweet is a flowering plant native to Africa, Europe and Asia.
This small shrub is largely pest and drought-resistant. It requires little care other than yearly pruning. This keeps the lavender flowers attractive and abundant. It is known for its gentle scent and soothing properties. It is used widely in laundry and cleaning products as it has a very clean, fresh smell. It is also very calming and is purported to help combat insomnia.

History
All lavenders have been widely used for over 2,500 years. The Romans scented their public bathhouses with it, and the ancient Egyptians included it in mummification. In Medieval and Renaissance Europe washerwomen were known as lavenders because they spread their laundry over lavender bushes to dry. It has long been considered a herb of love. Cleopatra was said to have used lavender to seduce Julius Caesar and Mark Antony combined with a little Jasmine. Lavender is historically known for its soothing, relaxing qualities. It has been used to treat hyperactivity, insomnia, headaches, and sore joints. Lavender is believed to act as a mild sedative and has been used to treat burns, bruises and insect bites.

Uses
Skincare
Add 3-5 drops to 1 Tbs Untouched Body Lotion and massage into skin before sleep. Repeat daily.

Relaxation
Add 10 drops to the diffuser in the evening or in the bedroom. Repeat as required.

Cleaning
Add 10 drops to water when mopping floors.

Laundry - fabric softener
Add 5 drops to your wash. Repeat as required.
Safety considerations
Lavender is one of the safest essential oils if used as directed. Safe to use with other medication when necessary. If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health specialist. Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water. Keep out of reach of children.
