Eczema
What is it?
Eczema is dry, red, itchy skin that flares and settles, most often in the creases of elbows and knees, on hands, or on a baby's cheeks. The skin barrier is not holding moisture in or irritants out, so the itch and scratch cycle takes over. Triggers are personal: soaps, wool, heat, foods, allergies, stress. Dr Bo's approach in clinic is always the same. Strip out the irritants, feed the skin with pure plant oils, and calm it with the gentlest essential oils in the range.
Blend intention
Calm, soothe and rebuild. Certified organic Calendula infused oil as the base, the best single carrier for troubled skin because it carries its antiseptic, soothing qualities in with nothing else added. Lavender Sweet, the mildest lavender, for soothing skin irritation. Chamomile Roman for redness and irritation. Myrrh, the old skin healer, to support the skin to restore itself, especially if the skin is weepy. Applied at night to nourish, with Aloe Vera Gel, a superpower for healing in its own right, by day so nothing greasy sits on the skin.
