Do you experience discomfort related to seasonal allergies? If so, you might be interested in natural remedies, such as organic certified essential oils and products, to provide comfort and support.

Here’s a list of the oils and floral waters that we recommend for comfort and support:

Eucalyptus Australiana
Immortella
Lavender Spike
Peppermint
Thyme Thymol
Almond Oil: Sweet

If you want the convenience and ease of a ready-made mixture, we offer high-synergy, clinician-formulated, certified organic essential oil blends for specific issues.  To support decongestion we have Inhale for adults or Baby Breathe for babies and children and Eye Soothe for irritated, itchy eyes.

Here are some tips that may help you find relief during seasonal shifts:

Inhalation:

Breathing in certified organic essential oils in a steam inhalation can be very helpful for soothing sinus and chest congestion.

Here are some simple inhalation techniques that may help allergy sufferers find comfort:

For Adults:

  1. Rub the following certified organic essential oils into your hands, cup them around your nose, and inhale. We recommend 2 drops of one certified organic essential oil or 1 drop each of Lavender Spike, Eucalyptus Australiana, and Thyme Thymol. Repeat as needed, up to six times a day.
  1. Add 1 drop each of Lavender Spike, Eucalyptus Australiana, Peppermint, Thyme Thymol, and Immortella to a bowl of hot water. Create a tent with a towel over your head and inhale the vapours. Repeat up to three times a day.

For Children:

Inhale from hands or add to clothing. Use 1 drop of Lavender Spike every two hours.

Creating Comfortable Spaces with Diffusion

Everyone can benefit from creating healthy spaces by using certified organic essential oils in a ceramic ultrasonic diffuser:

For Adults:
Diffuse 2 drops of Peppermint, 3 drops of Eucalyptus Australiana, and 5 drops of Lavender Spike. Replenish hourly.

For Children:
Diffuse 5 drops of Lavender Spike and 3 drops of Eucalyptus Australiana. Replenish hourly.

Alternatively, use 8 drops of Baby Breathe. Repeat as needed.

Effective Vapor Rubs:

To support the relief of allergy discomfort, try making your own vapour rubs:

For Adults:
Add 3 drops each of Lavender Spike, Eucalyptus Australiana, and Immortella to 2 Tablespoons of Almond Oil: Sweet. Apply to the chest, neck, throat, and back.

Add 3 drops each of Lavender Spike, Eucalyptus Australiana, Thyme Thymol, and Immortella to 1 Tablespoon of Almond Oil: Sweet. Apply to the feet and cover with socks at bedtime.

For Children:

Add 3 drops each of Lavender Spike and Eucalyptus Australiana to a half-palm-sized portion of Almond Oil: Sweet. Apply to the chest, neck, throat, and back. Repeat twice daily.

Additional Essential Oil Tips

For decongestion support in adults, add 1 drop of Peppermint to a 1/8 teaspoon of active honey and place it in the mouth. Repeat as needed.

Alternatively, add 1 drop of Eucalyptus Australiana to a finger or cotton swab and rub it inside the nose (not recommended if you have sore skin around your nostrils).

Alternatively, use Inhale for adults or Baby Breathe for children. These certified organic, clinician-formulated essential oil blends are perfect for diffusion, inhalation, or as a vapour rub treatment. These certified organic essential oil blends provide optimum synergy for decongestion while also having cleansing properties.

Support for Stressed, Itchy Eyes

For dark rings under the eyes, mix 1 drop of Immortella into a little Almond Oil: Sweet and apply under the eye area (avoid getting it inside the eye).

Another soothing treatment is to apply Lavender Water by spraying directly around and into itchy eyes.

Our certified organic clinician-formulated Eye Soothe is a high-synergy blend that combines distilled floral water with Lavender, Chamomile, and Rose distillate, offering gentle and safe relief for itchy eyes. It can be dropped or sprayed in and around the eyes or applied with an organic cotton pad.
