Control dandruff and soothe your scalp naturally in three easy steps!

Dandruff is a common yet mysterious condition, affecting about 50% of adults. While it’s not dangerous, it can be embarrassing and tricky to treat as there's no one-size-fits-all cure, but it can be brought under control.

What is dandruff?
Dandruff is an overproduction of skin cells, which grow, die, and flake off rapidly.

Fungal infections can often play a role in the problem.

Various forms of dermatitis, sometimes exacerbated by stress, can also be contributing factors.

Extremely dry skin, more common in cold weather, can mimic dandruff or exacerbate the issue for many.

Here’s how you can get dandruff under control in three easy steps

     1. Eliminate irritants - Dandruff is primarily a skin problem, but our hair and oil-rich follicles can contribute to the build-up. Given our culture's emphasis on beautiful hair, many dandruff products are marketed as beneficial for hair care. Unfortunately, some shampoo ingredients may irritate your skin further when dermatitis or dryness underlies your flaky scalp. That's why some people experience instant relief by switching to a simple, natural shampoo.

We recommend using Argan Oil: Raw to revitalise your scalp (and hair). Massage your desired amount directly into your scalp and leave it on overnight, then wash your hair as usual. To nourish and protect your hair, massage a small amount to your fingertips and run them through damp hair

2.Balance sebum production and cleanse the follicles - if a fungal infection is at the root of your dandruff, the build-up of moist, dead skin cells on your warm scalp creates an ideal breeding ground for the fungus. Whatever you use to combat the infection, you'll have a better chance of success if you can deeply cleanse your pores and balance oil production. Enter Jojoba Oil - a natural liquid wax that resembles sebum our bodies naturally produce. It offers deep cleansing while aiding in sebum regulation. It's also rich in nutrients that can enhance hair shine and health.

3.Address fungi, dryness, irritation, and inflammation naturally. While dandruff is technically an overproduction of surface skin cells, many people find that treating related issues provides better control, often with remarkable results. Using natural products to maintain a clean and balanced scalp can achieve therapeutic skincare for irritation, infection, and inflammation and promote healthy hair growth. Rosemary Cineol essential oil, with its anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, is a critical player in maintaining a healthy scalp. It acts as a tonic for both the skin and hair.

Since dandruff has been linked to immune issues, opting for a balanced, gentle, natural approach is worth considering before using chemicals and steroids, which can compromise your immune system. Additionally, carrier oils like Argan and Avocado provide extra benefits for both skin and hair, such as anti-inflammatory, cleansing, and moisturising properties.
