An evergreen tree that grows up to 12 meters high, native to Southeast Asia. It is often referred to as 'Mountain Pepper.' While the whole plant is best distilled, the lemon-scented fruit is considered the most potent part. With a long history of therapeutic use first recorded in China, it's widely valued as a general tonic to refresh and balance the body and mind. Also very popular in natural skincare.

History
May Chang has been used extensively in Chinese medicine for centuries, indicated in a range of conditions including indigestion, headaches, back pain and chills. It belongs to the same botanical family as Rosewood and Cinnamon. With a gentle fragrance reminiscent of lemon it has proved popular in the personal care industry. It is considered to have general tonic properties being both refreshing and balancing to body and mind.

Uses
Fatigue
Add 10 drops to a diffuser. Add 10 drops to a bath. Therapeutic baths should not exceed 15 minutes.

Skin Care
Add a few drops to your favourite body moisturiser for general vitality.

Refresh environment
Add 5 drops to a diffuser. For extra freshness, blend with 5 drops of Lemon and 3 drops of Cedarwood Atlas.
Safety considerations
Safe when used as directed. Safe to use with other medication when necessary. If accidentally ingested do not induce vomiting, follow with olive oil or milk and seek advice from a health specialist. Avoid contact with eyes - flush with water. Keep out of reach of children.
