Overview
Fragrance notes
Very flowery and slightly sweet, it is delicate and subtle with notes of citrus zest.

Blending notes
This oil is particularly fine and rich so it's fine on its own. However, Frankincense, Sandalwood and Myrrh blend well with Rose Damask.
History
The Rose is one of our most recognised flowers with a rich fragrance that has perfumed human history for centuries. First cultivated in the ancient gardens of Persia, the Rose has symbolised love, passion, innocence, sympathy, desire and luxury. The 17th century English physician Culpepper believed that the red rose strengthened the heart and that its extracts had cooling and astringent benefits. He wrote that it was also a tonic for headaches and tired eyes. With its mild anti-viral and bactericidal properties, it's often blended into creams, lotions and soaps. It has stimulating effects on the blood and is known as the heart oil. Often used for grief and loss.
